Meadowview Place Sensory Garden

The sensory garden at Meadowview Place is designed to stimulate the senses and bring back memories of our youth! The stimulation occurs courtesy of plants and the use of materials that engage one's senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound.

Sensory gardens provide spaces where residents can be immersed in the scents, sounds, textures and colors of plants, walkways, and garden art.

Many residents enjoy helping in the garden to stay active and maintain a positive outlook on life.

We grow herbs such as rosemary, mint, basil, lavender, pineapple sage, catnip and oregano for the culinary benefits as well as keeping our sense of smell engaged.  Fruits and vegggies include: peaches, blackberries, onions, tomatoes, squash, beans, and eggplant.
